That’s one of the ‘secrets’ of self-defence.
Another one is the “KISS” principle:
“Keep It Simple Stupid.”
Just go for trauma targets and KISS.
So what targets are we going for and what weapons do we use to get the result we need?
Well, here’s a few:
The Chin –
We know it as ST (Stomach 4) on the acupuncture chart – Strike in and down toward the centre.
Back of the Neck –
BL (Bladder 10) – Strike in and up at a 45 degree angle.
GB 20 (Gall Bladder) Bilateral – Strike in and up and at a 45 degree angle
The above points can be found on a Chinese acupuncture chart so I’ll leave that with you to check.
There’s many other points that you can strike but I’ll save them for another article.
Weapons –
- Fist
- Knife Hand
- Spear Hand
- Ridge Hand
- Elbow
- Forearm
Energy Transfer –
Be relaxed and focus on the target point.
What if you miss?
Then hit another target until the attacker goes down and you can safely leave the area after conducting a 360 degree check for further threats.
Always incorporate “Situational Awareness” to stay safe.
